Cape Town
is positioned at the foot of the massive 1086 meter sandstone bulk of Table Mountain, flanked by Devil's Peak, Lions Head and Signal Hill, and the azure Atlantic Ocean in front. It has the inherent potential to become one of the most popular cities in the world. The central city area is quite small and the many places of interest are centrally situated and best explored on foot.
The Table Mountain, South Africa's premier tourist attraction, provides breathtaking views over the city and its beaches. It is home to approximately 1500 species of plants. Many of these are endemic, i.e. appearing nowhere else on earth.
Lions Kloof Lodge, our guesthouse, is situated near the Kloof Nek, a good startpoint for walks in the city, to the lower cable station, Camps Bay, Lions Hill, Signal Hill, and Table Mountain Pipe Track.

The Italian style City Hall is built out of sandstone.
V & A Waterfront
is the shopping and entertainment complex within a working harbour. Rivals the best waterfronts worldwide thanks to sensitive planning and restored Victorian architecture. Offerings include more than 300 stores, craft markets and 70 eateries. Also the Aquarium and boat trips as well as many other forms of entertainment. In the foreground "Spirit of Victoria", a traditionally designed 58ft Gaff Rigged Schooner, offers regular sailing trips to Table Bay.
Camps Bay,
