Cook Island flowers of the world

The early Polynesian settlers, starting about 2000 years ago, introduced more than 65 plant species from the western Pacific- some on purpose and some accidentally. Since the arrival of the Missionaries, in the 1820s, more than 700 plant species have been introduced from other tropical countries.
