Shanghai (16.6 million)
is one of the most rich and
fascinating cities in the world. Walking the streets soaking in the atmosphere is the
best pastime it has to offer. Start may be on Jingan Temple if you never see
before a buddhist temple. Traverse the Peoples Square to see the beautiful
modern buildings of Shanghai. Visit Xintiandi, if you like new
reconstructed "old Shanghai", with boutiques and very expensive restaurants.
Don't forget to see the relicts of the realy old Shanghai, and walk down the Nanjing Lu to the world famous "Bund". Enjoy the promenade, and cross
by ferry to Pudong to see the Bund from the other side of the Huangpu- River.
Last but not least enjoy the "Pearl of Orient"- the TV- tower. Visit all this
once more by night. |
