Suzhou

Located between Nanjing and Shanghai, Suzhou is known in China  as the "Paradise on earth" and one of the key tourist cities. Suzhou has world-famous gardens. With white walls, dark-grey roof tiles and bridges over flowing waters, unfolds the Chinese civilisation characteristics of the Wu area.

Contrary to western gardening styles, color in Chinese gardens  has little importance. We find more trees and shrubs than perennials or other flowers. Stones and water are fundamental elements in chinese gardens. The esthetic principles behind all chinese art and gardening is based on observations of nature.
